It is designed to thicken the cup border, to make the center of Diabolo lightly so that centrifugal force is likely to be applied, and rotation is sustained. There is almost no blurring during rotation, and it will not deform at high speed acceleration.
The rigid plastic cup has less friction on the surface and minimizes the deceleration of rotation which occurs when adjusting the inclination of diabolo with a stick. Because it bounces up firmly when falling, it is also suitable for bounce trick.
